Issce Gonzalez is a jazz trumpeter from Dallas, Texas . His musical journey started in middle
school, when he got his first trumpet. Issce has lead, performed, and received multiple awards
throughout his younger educational years in different ensembles performing classical music. In
high school, Issce was the lead trumpeter in the Symphonic band and traveled throughout Texas
winning competitions. After High School he was given a scholarship to go to the University of
Arkansas where he attended for two years before going to Los Angeles.
In that time, Issce has performed in many groups before making his own, forming his
group
with
bassist Enrique Duarte IV. Together they’ve performed all throughout Los Angeles, and Hollywood.
You can find Issce and Enrique performing throughout Beverly Hills, bringing a cool nuanced vibe
to jazz. Interpreting all the great trumpeters such as, Roy Hargrove, Freddie Hubbard, Miles
Davis, Donald Byrd, and Woody Shaw. Issce’s hope is to follow in their example and to continue
the lineage of the great trumpeters. To bring back an elegance and sophistication to the genre.

Enrique Duarte IV is an immensely gifted and technically superb multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, singer and music director. Specializing in low end stringed instruments, he is experienced with double bass, many variations of electric bass, and guitar He completed the applied music program at the Los Angeles City College Herb Alpert Music Academy in 2020. Enrique currently plays bass in three different groups, performing in venues all across Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and the surrounding areas. His main role is as the music director for the Ice Gonzalez Collective, A diverse group of skilled musicians who are at the forefront of a movement that is reviving the Los Angeles Jazz Scene.Enrique also provides music lessons to all ages on the side, as teaching is another of his many passions
